How old when you had your youngest child?

I was 35 with my first one and 36 with the second one. Had one miscarriage right before the first one in Nov. and was pg with her by that January. So I basically had 3 pregnancies in one year<G>.
C sections for both and baby aspirin/progesterone for both but no other troubles except all day/every day morning sickness for both for the entire 9mo.
It was SOOOOOOOO worth it though! They are 16 and 15 now, *364 days apart* and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

My first was born when I was 34, my second (and last, as far as I know) is due in September, I will be 36.
So far no difficulties with either pregnancy.

Thanks everyone!!! This has turned into an awesome thread!!!!! I'm glad it has helped others too in making the right choice for them.

I do have to say that both my deliveries were very very easy. No meds and the first one was four hours of labor and the second was one hour of labor. No one would force me into a c-section no matter how old i was.

I'm still on the fence.

I guess i'll let you know as soon as i know.

I was 22 when I had my son, and 26 when I had my daughter. I wanted to have another, but my husband said no. I was feeling the urge up until a few years ago. I'll be 41 this year, and I'm sort of glad we didn't have anymore now. These two teens are driving me nutz!

I was 24 when I had my first and 28 with the second (and last-both boys). The father of the boys (my first husband) had three sets of four boys in his family, and I knew I'd end up with an army of my own, and since I had to have c-sections and hated them, I never had any more. Nevermind the fact that he never should have had kids in the first place, but that's another rant.

When I remarried I was 47. My MIL to be had a private moment with me and said "You know, Ann, I've always wanted to have grandchildren from Greg" - my husband is the only male child they had left that had the potential to have children to carry on the name and all, his brother never did. I looked at her and said "I'm 47 years old, I'm done - and looking forward to having my own grandchildren!". Needless to say she was a bit speechless and I'm sure disappointed. I could have had one (heck, I could still now at 52, I show no signs of menopause yet!!!

) and we had discussed it, he has no children of his own. He decided to get snipped instead.

I am so glad I had my kids young. I am still young!

Now we have lots of time to enjoy ourselves without worrying about little ones, at least until one of mine (now 27 and 23) decide to produce a grandchild for me. Hopefully not anytime soon, they're still finding themselves.....

I had my first at 22, and my two year old at 27. I might have wanted to have one more, but cancer decided that for me. Now, I think it was for the best cause my boys can drive me crazy.

I had my youngest about a month and half before my 39th birthday. He was #7. I can't say it was easier or harder than any of the others but I did get more aches and my muscles didn't seem to want to stretch as easily. Recovery time was good tho but getting the baby fat off is KILLIN me! I think I was more worried about problems with the baby than I was about me - I was terrified the baby would have Down's Syndrome or something like that....

I am glad I waited til I was "older" to have her. I was WAY to selfish to have had a child when I was younger
