How serious is a cloudy / milky glassy eye in a goose

No telling it could be blindness, infection or cataracts

I have some ducks get this...it was the same time of temperature and in the same turnout area (but they did not get it when in another area), which leads me to believe it may be something that bit them or went after their eyes (partially wooded area)... 2 of them became blind in that eye.Next year (same time of year too) I put the bird up as soon as it appeared in one and kept them out of that area. We have a lot of bugs here, and I think it is a certain gnat or a bacteria that grows at a specific time of year and you need to get the bird into a clean area with really clean water for a while to put a stop to it quickly..maybe antibiotics, especially if it swells up...(2 of the 4 also got swelling )...
