How should a mother hen act?

I had one chicken that hatched two days ago. The other eggs were not fertilized, and she layed on two more eggs until the baby chicken hatched and then I removed them from underneath her after candling them. She still acts like she's broody even though she doesn't go back to the nest anymore if I put her and her baby out on the floor on a towel (they live inside right now because it's extremely cold outside and the temp is very low in the insulated coop even though I have a little heat). She still lays down flat on the floor even when the baby chick is out on the floor eating etc, and she doesn't eat much and only poops once a day, just like when she was broody. When does she start walking around and eating and pooping like normal? Also I found out she has vent gleet (she has had a stinky butt for over a week, but I didn't figure out what it was until now) and she breathes with her mouth open alot today, and I started treatment today both orally with probiotics and bathing her butt in epsom salt and applying canesten, and could that be why she is not walking around? She seems fine otherwise and shows the baby chick food and water etc.

Was she outside recently? The open mouth breathing could be because she's hot in the house.

Some broody hens sit on the nest for a week or two with the chicks. My bantams do it all the time, especially if food and water are near. They generally start moving around after a week or so. They remain puffed up and available for the chicks to dive under.
