How should a newly hatched chick stand?

My first egg ever just hatched. It is a silkie bantam but I've never seen a baby chick stand like this one or sit I guess. It was standing in the incubator but now it just sits like a dog. Quite active, it is also 2 hours old.

I'd give it several hours, or at least a few anyway. They also will flop down flat on their belly and you'll swear they died.

It is able to walk okay though when it does?

yea, I've tapped it couple times from being scared to death.

For a little bit but then falls.

But hasn't done it for an hour. I was told I did have to help rip the membrane and when I did it came right out flopping

It just takes them time to get their legs. They've been curled up in an egg for three weeks. After that, there's no stopping them!

here is a picture of when it hatched the second I opened it's membrane. The third picture is the exact moment of when it hatched. It scared me so bad with it's eyes opened.
