How Should I make my duck pen

I am getting some new ducks. I am wondering if I should get a cheaper smaller less secure pen or a more expensive bigger more secure pen. Predators are not I big threat in my area.

They will be once you put out your ducklings. A secure pen and coop will be needed.

Ok, thank you, my neighbor has some wood, and chicken wire I can use.

chicken wire will NOT keep predators out. A raccoon will just reach his arm in and pull your duck's head out the hole. YOu need to get 1/2" hardware cloth for the open areas.

Raccoons are one of the worst predators they will try an pull a duck through fencing which usually means the ducks loses its head. I wouldn’t want anyone to come upon a scene like that.

Thanks, I have seen what raccoons can do. We saw one just take off the head of a bird in our yard.
