How should I treat a small cut on Buff Orp's comb?

I noticed a small cut (maybe caused by pecking) on my Buff Orp's comb today. It's small and doesn't seem to be bothering her, but there is some blood and I don't want my other hens to peck at it. Any suggestions about how to clean/care for the wound? Do I need to do anything at all, or let the hen take care of it herself?

If it's bleeding I would put blue kote on it so the others don't peck at it.

What is blue kote? Do they have it at feed stores?

I would clean off any blood and then leave it alone if it is a small cut. If you notice that your other chickens are picking at it and dont have access to blue kote I would put a gob of vasaline on it. One bite of that is enough to deter the most determined hen in my experience.
