The walls were painted on Sunday, but I just finished painting the floor of our coop today. How long should I let it air out before it's safe for the chickens? I have the door and windows open, airing out, we have a good breeze. I used a latex floor paint. Might I be able to have the chickens in there this weekend?

Absolutely, unless it's super humid where you are (sorry, i forgot to check and see if you had it listed) you should be able to put them out in a couple of days. It takes a day or two for paint to really dry hard even if it seems really dry in a few hours. They will be less likely to damage it and ingest if you wait until Friday night or Saturday. If it takes more than three hours to dry to the touch you might want to give it an extra day to really get hard, but with latex, you'll probably be fine. If you'd done oil I'd say to give it an extra day.

Thanks! We have a little humidity.... but not too bad. I'm in southern WI. It was dry to the touch tonight, but "sticky" when I walked on it. I had hoped a couple of days would do it!
