How soon can I take a chick away from their hen?

I have a few little girls wanting chicks but i dont know how soon i can give them away because i dont know how soon i can pull them from their mothers. This is my 1st time using broodys and its their 1st hatch also. I think i am feeling guilty to rip a mother from her baby especially their 1st babie lol any help would be awesome.

Most of my hens weaned their chicks when they were about 6 weeks old. It would be cruel to take them away from mom before then. Especially if it's her first time. Just make sure you handle the chicks often, so they are used to human contact.

I think I would feel super guilty if I took them.
