How soon can I tell if I have a rooster.

HI,
I have 6 chickens that are 7 weeks old. I was wondering how old they need to be for me to tell if I have a rooster. Thanks for any info.

You should be starting to see some signs. Any of them have noticeably redder wattles or combs than the rest?

What breed(s) do you have?
I would suggest adding some pictures of your chicks here - at the age of 7 weeks you'll likely be able to get some pretty good feedback on who is what.

The one I was wondering about ( being a rooster) is this one. Also, what breed it may be. ( the brown one in front)



And this one I was wondering what breed it is. ( the spotted one)

The spotted one in the middle - not the black and white one ( I think that one is a Plymouth Rock ?)

they both look to be hens the first one i don't know but
second one is a speckled sussex

Thanks for the reply. I think the first one may be a Wyondotte ( hope I spelled that correct) I saw a picture of one recently and it looked very similar to the first one.

The brown one is a pullet for sure (males aren't colored like that). I'm not sure about the spotted one's gender, but it is a Speckled Sussex.
