I have to get straight run day-olds because the University I am buying them from doesn't sex them. How soon will I be able to tell boys and girls? I will get the babies in Feb.

By the time they get fully feathered in about three weeks you may be able to see a larger comb developing on the roosters and they may stand up taller and be slighly larger in size. Alot is this depends on the breed of chicken. What part of SC are you from. I don't see many SC chicken people on this sight. Welcome!

I am in the upstate. I am getting my chicks from Clemson. I am getting Buff Orphingtons, Barred Rocks, Turkens, and Single comb Leghorns. I plan on selling the boys through a local feed store.
