How steep is too steep?

Hi brand new here. I do have a large area outside to let my future hens to roam that is totally flat, it is right next to a fairly steep hill probably about 45° going downhill. I was wondering if I could expand their area by utilizing this space which is not used for anything else to give them a bit more room to explore and eat grasshoppers! Or if that would be a bit too much for them. Appreciate the help!

Pictures would be good if you're willing to share.

The thick red area is where the level area is and the thinner red line is the hill.

Looks lovely. They'll manage the slope. Those that don't half fly up it may looka bit ungainly but I've had chickens going up and down some very steep mountain terraces.
What they won't manage is the lack of cover. I don't know if you have hawks where you are but that slope males an ideal open kill ground for a hawk.
Chickens are still jungle birds and need jungle type cover; lots of it.

Yeah I do have hawks and am worried about that for sure 100%. Would definitely want to cover them as much as I can but would still need to walk into and stand up in the area they are in. So I was thinking a tunnel for along the edge of the hill and then a higher topped area up top that I could walk into.
