How tall are meat birds?

You had me curious so I went out and measured my CX, Hatched June 20th (15 or 16 weeks old) .. the females are 12 and 13 inches tall, the male is 16.5 inches tall. Its not easy to measure their height.

If you process at the correct time (not that there is a specific correct time but much younger than mine are currently). they will not be this tall. I do not have any adult red rangers or any ranger for that matter right now to measure them.

WOW that is impressive! I did not expect anyone to measure them haha I know my chickens would give me such a hard time!! Thank you though that is super awesome and now my curiosity can rest

he doesn't look that tall because he is wider than he is tall

I see thousands of them a day and they seem to be shorter than most heritage chickens. Like someone said earlier, a sort of crouch to them, maybe it is just because when I see them they are in cages taking their last ride, or maybe its just me.

They don't get very tall I have noticed that hens get taller than roosters
