How tall are standard chickens?

We are going to build a chute from our coop to the run and want to make sure the chickens can comfortably walk through it. How tall are standard chickens?

About a foot and a half / 2 feet when they aren't pretending to be bigger then they are

What a creative idea! I hope you post pictures when you get done. I remember someone that lived in a city, that had used wire to make a tunnel for their chickens to get from one section of the yard to another, along the house. The chickens had no trouble at all.
