i am going to make my coop bigger. the rest of my plywood is 3/4 inches thick. it is in my barn. would 1/4 inch be enough or would 1/2 be enough or should i get 3/4.

What plywood are you talking about? Flooring, wall sheeting, roof sheeting? These are all different but 1/4 inch would be in my opinion too thin for most anything, the only thing I would use that for is if I were building a lightweight moveable design or maybe use it for building nest boxes or something. I am building a shed type coop with 3/4 plywood for the floor, 7/16 or 1/2 osb for the walls and 1/2 or 5/8 osb for the roof. I have 24" stud spacing on walls and 16" on floor joists and roof rafters. 3/4 plywood is way overkill for walls I would only suggest it for flooring and you could get by with 5/8 on the floor too if you didn't care if it were a little spongy.
