I have three ducks I would like to add some chicks or ducklings into the mix is it a possibility? Most of all I would love to add two chicks possibly three months of age already.

I have had my Ducks and Chickens together for a long time and there has been no fighting/Injuries.Worst things ive seen so far is a duck scaring away a chicken from a food bowl.Do you free range?Fighting is usually caused by boredom. You can probably add the chicks to the ducks by now.Just see how they get along.

Thank you both for answering and t.i.a....

I'm iffy about it...these ducks are extremely sweet and gentle. The ducks are 6 months. They do free range all day. Until about 7pm.

I started with chickens and added ducks to the flock this past spring. Our ducks and chickens get along great. They all sleep in the coop together and during the day they are all completely free range. Having integrated many chicks and now ducks into my existing flock, my best advice is to introduce them via wire pen on ground level. I am lucky enough to have a brooder pen built into part of my chicken coop, so I place all birds that will be integrated on the ground level so they can all view and talk to each other without too much interaction for a week or two. Then I let them out for small bouts with supervision every day for a couple weeks and then start letting them range together. This has worked the best for pretty near seamless integration.
