How to administer niacin pills to ducklings/proper dosage? Help asap please!

I bought niacin pills today for my day old ducklings, and I need help administering it. How should I give it to them? Crushed to pieces? Powdered? Dissolved? Also what dosage? Each pill is 500 mg. How much for 5 ducklings? Or should I feed it to them each separately? Advice is much appreciated as I am a first time duck owner!

You could give it to them broken in smaller pieces and wrapped in lettuce. I don't know what the dosage is, though.
