How to apply a bumper bit

this is what they look like. one of them has worked out how to get them off as she has got it off twice now. ive still put the singled out chicken in & she is eatin & drinking & wandering in & out of the shed before they would pin her to the ground & not let her move.

I'm confused. She's being picked on and you're putting that contraption on her? That makes no sense. If she is being picked on, I believe that goes on the ones doing the pecking, but I've never in my life seen a need for something like that.

the bits are on the 6 brown hens. one of the hens has not had one on all week as she keeps getting it off but they have not touched the white one at ll. ill take them off the hen one and a time i think just to be safe.
