Hi y’all,
I’ve recently learned that two of my three chickens are roosters. I got them all as chicks and now they are 2 months old. I am planning on finding a happy home for the silver Sebright rooster and keeping the Pekin bantam rooster. The hen is a rhode island red.
im wondering if the bantam will try to fertilize with the Rhode Island Red even though he’s much smaller? Additionally, I would like to get two more hens. Should I wait until my chickens are older to introduce more hens? I do think it will be difficult to find hens of the same age, so will it be an issue if I introduce two adult hensto the babies? What is the best way to do this?is there anything else I should know or do?
Thanks all!!
