I really like some of the WEbsites on here and i am not so computer savy. I really like Fluffnstuff and and several others I see. How do I start. Where do I go. I need some reccomendations. I know some are free and some can start free but add pages for money. Any suggestions. Something simple where I can display my chickens and eggs online.

I don't sell eggs or chickens online but I do have a website.

I went to yahoo small business and bought a domain name (well 2 domain names). Then I bought yahoo hosting, it's like $13 a month. Then I downloaded yahoo sitebuilder from yahoo's hosting site and just started creating a site.

Sitebuilder is the easiest thing for people who don't know what they're doing...like me.

Or you can try freewebs or whatever that thing's called.

Here's a link:

Southern, I really like the way yours looks. I save the business site till I can look some more. Thanks. I will look at Google stuff too. Anyone else

BamaChicken I have a professional web site but it can be expensive and you need to know a lot of html/computer codes. Unless you hire someone/company to maintain it.
THATS http://www.flufnstuff.com

I also have an easy but nice Picturetrail. A lot of people on here have one.
You get 2 pages AN ALBUMS PAGE for pictures & A HOMEPAGE to write all your information.

Its free unless you really like it and want to expand later down the road then its 20.00 a year.

I posted this before but a lot of folks didn't see it. I have a web hosting company and have been doing it since the mid 90's. I host websites from personal sites to forums, to famous bands and mostly business sites.

I have noticed that many people on BYC have free websites and many times the bandwidth has been exceeded or you can't see the site because of the ads or slow speeds. I also realize that folks would rather spend their hard earned money on eggs, chicks or something for their farm. So, here is what I will offer to the community of BYC.

So, I'm offering our largest account with all the bells and whistles for $2 per month. This helps me offset the cost...... Spend your extra money on poultry supplies. Actually there are two options.

1. Register your own domain and have www.youdomain.com. We can register it for $7.99 (our cost) per year. Then you only pay $2.00 per month for a professional hosting account.

2. You have a sub-domain off of bigbirds.com. You would have a full hosting account but your url would be www.yourinfo.bigbirds.com where "yourinfo" would be anything you want. For example, www. zunibee.bigbirds.com. There would not be a $7.99 fee per year for this. It would be free. Then you only pay $2 per month for the hosting account.

These accounts are on fast servers that are used by many of our business accounts. Our uptime is 100%, tech support is world class....ok, you get the picture...

My tech support costs, bandwidth and disk space will cost more than $2 so I am not in this for the money. Its my way of contributing to the community.

I have already set up a few accounts for folks on BYC and I believe they are very happy with the accounts.

Just send me an email through the email link or PM me. Tell me what subdomain (www.subdomain.bigbirds.com) you want or what domain you want (www.domain.com) and I'll set it up. If you want us to register it for you let me know that too. You can register the domain anywhere and still use our hosting.

The account also comes with RV Sitebuilder included so you can build your site. You can try out site builder on our tryout site:
