I want to provide water and feed in the coop as well as out in the run. My coop is large for the 3-4 hen's that will live in there but Id also like to save space for the girl's so I'm planning on putting the feeder and watterer on the corner or hanging on the wall. Does any one know how to build those thing's? I did a search of the site but can't find directions.

I saw a cool way to make a feeder. I wish I could show you a picture. But Ill attempt to describe. I got to go to work so only have a few minutes.

1. get a 4" diameter ABS Pipe. Its Black in color. 6 feet long should be fine, but the store will probably only sell a 10 foot piece.

2. Get a 4" Abs 45 degree bend.

3. ABS Glue, but that is probably optional

Okay cut that pipe in whatever length you need. I think 2 3 foot sections is good.

Now put one pipe into one end of the 45 bend and the other pipe into the other end of the 45.

It should look like this ,

You put feed through the top, drill holes through the bottom pipe. Hang on the wall using ABS 2 Hole straps < 4" ones of course. Or you can just use plumbers metal tape. But the two hole straps are better.

I cant help out with a waterer at the moment. Ill have to think about that

I plan on having a water and feed thing hanging outside as well, I don't know about your hen's but my chicks like to have a snack in the middle of the night and Id like to make sure they have plenty of feed 24 hours a day.

That is a really well designed coop and I think I might have to copy him on the waterer and feeder because of some space limitations in my own coop I wanted to overcome.

Very nice work and thank you for posting that link.

Made an industrial type watering system for the coop. 6 nipples cost me $12, and shipping was $11. Should have bought more.

There is a 5 gallon bucket that is the storage tank. I'll hook up a gutter to supply it with water later, and rig an overflow. I know, got sloppy with the glue. It'll hold.
