How to calm/tame wild and i do mean wild chickens

Received 2 new 8-9 week old chicks. They were broodied by mama hen, and very little interaction with people. Where do I start? They don't know what a waterer is and have never eaten crumbles. While isolated, how long before I start trying to tame? What do I feed til they start eating chicken feed? Help-I'm lost-also they do not know what a fence/pen is. They are panicking, trying to get out.help?

They look like American Games. Should be easy to tame. Carefully cover top of cage with a cloth. Then sit in chair near them and do not like directly at them. The periodically give them something small to eat like a couple pieces of grain or insects.

How to introduce them to water? They been drinking out of puddles before now-I'm stumped

How long have you had them?

I would expect them to settle down a lot, and eat and drink, if you just leave them in the cage for a day or two. It will probably be longer before they quit panicking when you come near.

We got them today.
Thanks ALOT! It's soooooo hot and their panting. I'm sure from stress as much as heat. Tomorrow will be better. I appreciate everyone's help
