Hatching
So here is the story, I picked up 12 5 week old pullets (6 barred rock and 6 white leghorn) from a farm that also raised pigs, the chicks had little to no contact with people and are still a little skiddish of me. Yesterday I added a cockerel (columbian rock) who is 2 weeks older then the pullets but he was hand raised from hatch with people, now my problem is he is to friendly with the older hens (barred rocks) who dont like the babies for some reason, but he is also a bit of a pushover when hes with the 12 pullets. (wont eat with them or play with them, when they peck at him he runs, he is twice the size of them for being 8 weeks compared to 6) Will he break himself of this habit as he gets use to his new home or will he always be the "baby" of the flock?
