We have five hens and one of them, a blue mutt, can be pretty aggressive toward the others. She had been ranked #2 all along but a couple months ago during her molt she got extra cranky and ousted our Welsummer from the top spot. Now she's terrorizing everyone, especially the Welsummer by holding her down and mounting her roughly just like a rooster would, several times a day. I've heard I can change the pecking order by isolating the mean one. How do we accomplish this? I'd like to see the Welsummer back at the top because she was so much nicer about it.
