How To Clean Feathers?????

I've got a couple of large buckets full of goose wing feathers that I would like to clean and smooth out. I'd sure appreciate any advice on the best way to do it.

I hand wash each feather with shampoo then lay on terry towel to dry ,keep them inside the house to dry. then i just run my fingers over them and they reshape.
