I've been drawing up plans for an incubator, and I have the temp and fans figured out, but have absolutely no clue how to control the humidity. I'm thinking hygrometer, but I don't know how to wire those, and what sort of device to actually change the humidity. Anything helps, thanks a ton in advance

I think the term you are looking for is humidistat . Search for digital humidity controller on Ebay and you will see several examples. There are many ways to create the humidity. One example I have see on this site is using the small ultrasonic foggers. They will produce a fine cool mist . Some lager incubator use heated water pans . The warm water evaporates quicker increasing the relative humidity. However on small incubators the heated water method can interfere with temperature control. Commercial units have water spray nozzles and powered air vents. I don't have any actual experience using a humdistat as I find it easy to control the humidity by adjusting the exposed surface area water using a traditional water pan place in front of the fan. I will be interested in seeing what you come up with.
