How to convince DH to let me have more than one cat.

I got him broke down and he lets me have a cat from our local shelter down the road. I want a special needs cat for some odd reason. THey have several really cute ones. ONe is half blind and other have corneal scarring. He is now okay with that. But how can i convince to also let me take home a cat that was at a vet visit descriped as ancient? They think she is 14 years old. She would be free. I just want her to have a nice warm place to live out her remaining years.Her name is Savannah .

He still thinks cats are like officers. Never do anything and just sneak around and watch you over your shoulder. I need a cat the house we bought came with a cat door in our bedroom door.I cant imagine a old cat doing much more than sleep, lounge, eat and go potty anyways.

I'd be more worried about the 14+ year old cat!

Get the old cat, but only if you have $ for the inevitable age-related ailments.

And make sure that it is social to other cats.

But I'd say go for it. Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission....
