How to cover run to protect from aerial predators?

We just built a run for one of our hoop coops. We used 4’ wide chicken wire attached each side to 2x4 and rolled them on top of the run and nailed them down to the supports and tacked the wire on the sides to the support as well. This is a photo from on top of a ladder looking down. We will add solid cover to a portion before spring to give cover from the sun and rain. (We are in dry season now.). They will always be able to go into the inside coop which is 10x20 at any time. We did this because we have nesting red tail hawks on our property.
