How to "Create" a Bachelor Flock

I am going to be build a new coop for my Flock, which gives up a coop that will be empty. I would like to rescue roosters and keep them in there. The coop is 4x4 so 16 square feet, the run area would be about 10 feet by 17 feet. Should I keep on with this idea or just leave it just in case I need it.

You should TOTALLY rescue roosters Not many people can have them and SO many need homes or end up in the freezer. Do it!!!

Yes i tried with my 2 young Polish cockerels that were 13 weeks old, nobody wanted them and I could not keep them, so I had to give them to a questionable Feed Store, but I don't think that they will go to freezer camp, just because they are an ornamental breed.

I know lady who does this, she has a ton of birds in cage and all of them get along.When no females available for them mate with aren’t around they become so laid with one another.Its also easier to introduce one.I recently bought a rooster from a bachelor flock and he does so well with my little bantam roo who was getting bullied by our Jersey giant rooster who I actually traded the lady out for.When he first got with the other roosters he fought em all and immediately took over, I personally think it was because he was fresh away from the girls.But, this is also not the greatest idea.You could contract so many disease from random birds.Thats so many birds coming from so many different places, that could be a big issue, it would involve a huge amount of biosecuriry.

I have an area for quarantine the chickens, and they will only be able to look at the hens.

How many rooster do you guys think that I can comfortably keep in the space given? Both Bantams and Standards.

I would say anywhere between 4-8

For standards I'd say 3-4 in the coop but 17 in the run, and for bantams I'd say 7-9 in the coop and 34 in the run (by 'in the coop' I mean that based on coop space, and 'in the run' means that if you had that run space and the adequate coop space.)
