hello! My four ISA browns are about 5 weeks old and I’d like to have them free range in our yard a little everyday without close supervision. We live in an urban area and our fence is only 6 feet high. How do I discourage / prevent them from flying high when they are young? Anything I can do to train them to forget that they can fly? Lol Thanks!

You COULD go the route of clipping a wing on each of them (effectively unbalancing them making flying impossible), but I would prefer going the route of putting a roof on the run that they have.

Also, with them being only 5 weeks old, I would definitely give them some overhead cover for the sake of blocking predators.

What type of fencing encloses the area you want to release them in and do you own it?
If it is solid topped and you own it you can suspend a thin wire with landscape ribbons tied to it for visibility across the top to prevent landing on the fence.
