How to either deter peacocks or entice them to another area?

One of my neighbors has peacocks. I'm not sure which ones. They are on my porches constantly making a mess (poop). They are literally on my porches most of the day, every day. They perch on my porch furniture and have even perched on our vehicles. We're not crazy car people but we believe in taking care of things we've worked hard to attain. IOW, we don't want our vehicles or porch furniture scratched and ruined bc the neighbor makes no effort to contain his birds. I also prefer to not confront the neighbors as there are a million ways that can go south. I can't even put outdoor area rugs out bc they will just ruin them with feces. Is there any way to deter them from my porches? I've been spritzing them with water but they come right back. I know there are motion activated sprinker systems but I should not have to go to that expense bc of my neighbor's irresponsibility. I honestly just can't fathom how anyone can just let their animals roam but that's just me. I THINK they belong to the people next door. If I'm right, they obviously don't care about personal property. There has been a tree branch lying on the trunk of one of their cars for at least a month and they've not removed it so.....ideas? OR is there some way to make another area in my yard more attractive to them so they'll go there instead of the porches? I don't want them harmed. They can't help it their owner is irresponsible.

Good communication makes for good neighbors. Just ask them if they have peafowl because you have some spending a lot of time on your car. If they are their birds ask if they can pen them, if they say no then say no more about it and call animal control. I feel bad that my birds have to be penned but I make sure they have lots of space and vegetation to live on.
