⠀ HOW TO FERMENT FEED FOR CHICKENS OF ALL KINDS

I plan on fermenting feed as well. However, the LACTO fermentation, not lactic (Apple cider w mother). LACTO is the probiotic needed.
The question I can not find the answer to is, HOW much feed to give. I have seen posts where people reference feeding the fermented feed once in the morning and once in the evening. So,if a hen needs, on the average 1/3 pound per day, Is this being split into two?

For those that feed ff once per day, is dry feed left out all day?
Man, I have a lot to learn, lol!

WELL YOU NEED BOWLS TO FEED THE FERMENTD FEED IN.
DO NOT PUT IT IN A METAL FEEDER.

SOME USE PASTIC DRAIN FOOTAGE PIPE TO FEED IN.

FEED CHICKENS ENOUGH FOR AT LEAST 4TBSP PER CHICKEN TO BE EATEN IN 20-30 MINUTES

I decided to try fermented feed for my chickens, i have 1 cups of feed started in a quart jar. Figured i would start small first to see if i can keep up with it since i'm gone a couple days a week for work and not sure what the hubby will think since he is in charge of them when i'm gone.

I use quart jars for my 30 hens, they eat in a trough ( rain trough with ends) I pour in dry seed then a jar of fermented on top, no straining as the liquid is packed with goodness ( i add oil too)I've done it since my first chicks and I saw the terrible mess and waste of seed. Small is good and that way you can keep the seed feeder in there and feed this as a topping....

We bought a plastic rain trough( like on your house) glued on end caps , you can cut it to any length you want I have 3,5 and a 4 foot ones. Easy to clean and many can eat at once.

(1) FEED ONCE A DAY

(2) LEAVE COMMERCIAL PROTEIN FEED OUT ALL DAY ALSO.

(3) FERMENED FEED GIVES GOOD GUT FLORA

I make it in a 35 gal plastic barrel . I use half a bag of whole oats , a cup of unfiltered apple cider vinager , cup of brown sugar , and a little vitamin/ electrolytes . I stir it up everyday and keep the water over it . In the summer you can smell it from a ways when the wind blows right lol

Well my opinion is that the brown sugar and the ACV,
worked together as fermentation needs sweets.
An the chickens body used the sweets for better fermentation results when eatig.

today was first day I feed fermented feed and my chicks went nuts for it and fighting over the dish so I put a second dish in so they all could eat. I was surprised cause the smell wasn't somethng i would eat/
