How to find bottle calves in central NC?

I'm looking for either Holstein or angus steer calves for my daughter to raise. Should I contact local dairy farms to see if they have male calves? What would you do?

I used to go to dairies and ask about buying calves. You are a lot better off if you can get a calf from a dairy than at the auction.
