How to gender quail/Quail suddenly crying all night

It looks like a red breasted female, but I'd need to be able to see the color of the feathers in the vent area to be 100% sure. No indication of it being a male from that picture at least.

I wonder if putting a few small mirrors in the cage with her would help. She might think she has some friends.
