How To Get 2, 6 Week Old Pekin Ducks To Like You More

Hi, i have 2, 6 week old Pekin ducks. This week I’ve been a bit sick so I haven’t been able to play with my duckies, i just went out and tried playing with them but for some reason they dont like me as much as they did before i got sick. Is this normal in ducks? My goal is to get these Pekins pretty affectionate with me But I’m not so sure how and if i can even do it. if you know how to ducks really playful to their human friends please tell me

Treats, treats, and more treats. Thawed peas, dried mealworms, chopped tomatoes, greens, and watermelon all make you their favorite person. Don't feel too bad though, duckling go through a stage where they are afraid of everything. Yours are probably just doing that.

I’m giving them a bird (ducks, chickens and birds) feed. Which is high in niacin.

im feeding them a mix of Purina and free range poultry mix.

Also another treat idea is what I call the grapes of Wrath: mix cut grapes with defrosted peas.
Also, every Sunday we get scrambled eggs with chopped tomato and peas.

My ducks love me when I’m bringing them food. Otherwise they are not terribly cuddly creatures...heck, they’re birds. I’ve found that consistency with daily routines are really important to them...same time out every morning, consistant feeding schedules, etc.

Your ducks are beautiful...give them time. They are young and will feel comfort with routine.

Im not so sure, mine are way fluffier. I do not know. Sorry. Maybe mine are just Grow slower. Did yours go into a state where they were fluffy?
