I am not finding the answers I am searching for and wonders if anyone knows where I can start looking.
There is an abadoned trailer right next to ours. It is hideous. The ceiling insulation is draping down inside, windows are broken, outdoor power lines from the trailer are on the ground in their yard (not live, someone completely cut them down). There is mold forming in some of the double payned windows and it looks like bat poop on the house under an outdoor vent. The front door is always left open. Totally trashed. It has been abadoned probably for 7 years like that. The neighbors cats and homeless people have been known to chill in there. We have gotten plenty of mice and a snake or two that come from that yard. The owner of the home is in another country and I don't know if they are ever coming back. One of our other neighbors has tried to contact the owner to purchase the lot so they can demolish the house and put a new one on there for other family members. However, they have been unsuccessful.
It is probably the biggest eye sore on our street. There are other abadoned trailers on the street, but they don't look anything like this. This one is totally uninhabitable and a renovation would cost more than the home value.
Who do I speak with to start the process of getting the home condemed so hopefully they demolish it?
