how to get chickens to gain weight

I noticed some of my year old hens were a little skinnier than they should be last spring. I started feeding them more Scratch than normal and that helped. I also started adding about a 1/4 cup of frozen egg yolks in their food everyday and that helped too. After that they were even a bit tubby.

If you are positive that they dont have any worms or parasites, then I have a few ideas. Give them scratch every day. Things like warm oatmeal, cream of wheat, and rice should help a little. And TREATS! Give them lots to fatten them up.
