How to get chickens to lay eggs in the nest boxs

Had my first 2 eggs this weekend but both were layed in the floor.You could tell the chickens were in the boxes. So how do I get them to start using the nest box ?

you could try putting an egg in the nest box so that they see another egg there and then know it's a safe place for laying eggs

I found wooden eggs and put them in it. I put 2 eggs in 6 different boxes. If you have any plastic one's from Easter you could use them to.
