How to get rid of Andrey the goshawk?

In order to own a rifle in Romania you must be the member of a Hunters club. But i cannot become one because i am color blind and i would fail the mandatory eye test held by the local Armory.
I'll be waiting for him the next days; I,ll catch him bare handed. Even if that means another lost chicken and many scratches on my arms. Game over.

I have hundreds of open barrels full of rotting fruit for brandy making; how on earth is that horrible putrid smell not enough to keep him away from my property?

Be careful. A shovel beside his head may save you getting injured.

Apparently not a deterrent. They have great eyesight but maybe not much sense of smell. I know vultures have an amazing sense of smell, but they are attracted to smells we would think are bad.

This bird.... I would kill him if able. He is not behaving naturally himself. It is unfortunate because he is a beautiful bird.... but he can eat a chicken a day I would imagine. He would have to go. I wish you all the best Axel.

I have a brazen red tail hawk. Every year I have to deal with her and then her young (till she runs them off). I do not have a orchard to try and protect. I did hang CD’s in my trees. I have not seen her since. She used to sit atop my tin roof on the coop or swoop from my roof. She no where to be seen. Wishful thinking?? Could be. Maybe the predator became prey? Sitting on a second clutch of eggs more likely. Just don’t know time will tell. Can’t imagine how many CD’s it would take for a orchard! Good luck!!

So you are going to take a life because you don't want to look at a bunch of ugly nets? Sheesh. Build a run already.
I think the motivation to take it's life is because it is killing multiple chickens every week. Nets was something suggested by some other third party. People say "nets" like it is a realistic option. What is with that?

Besides, this raptor takes multiple lives routinely.... why are you so squeamish about this birds life, and not for the chickens it kills with impunity?

An enclosed run is totally realistic. I am not against free ranging but I am so tired of people that provide a chicken buffet for the wildlife and then want to kill everything that comes to dine. IF you free range accept that predation will happen. IF you don't want predation, don't free range.

That would be very expensive as the area where they roam is huge and i don't want to cover my orchard with ugly nests.
I'm thinking of setting up a trap, catching him and then relocating him like very far away.
He’d find his way back to his territory. Best to somehow “loose” him along the way.
