First timer dealing with what I believe are mites. Been seeing them on the shavings in the chicken run and crawling up stuff so I’m guessing the chickens have them too. What did you guys find as the most successful and effective treatment for the flock? So far I have removed all the shavings from their run and coop covered the floors with DE and their nesting areas. Tonight I will go into the coop and put ivermectin on their necks and then repeat treatment in seven days. I don’t have Elector PSP way too expensive! I’m going to try to rub the de on each of them too but some of them hate being held so that’s going to be fun. Also thinking of burning the shavings I removed so the chickens don’t go back to peck n scratch around . Anything else yall have found to work??
