I was wondering if there's anyway to get a white egg layer from a brown or blue egg layer, or if you have to start with one of the parents with the white egg laying gene?

I am starting with brown egg layers and one blue egg layer and just wanted to see what variety I could get without having to buy more chickens. If you cross a chicken from a breed that lays brown eggs with one from a breed that lays white eggs, you would probably get hens that lay light brown eggs.
Why do you want to breed a brown-egg layer to get a white-egg layer?
