How to give shipped eggs the best chance of hatching

I did receive my eggs (+2) today :celebrate
were you able to take custody of your peeps today too?
My shipping info has zero updates since Tue when they arrived at the main hub in the state they shipped from. No clue where they are. I hope they show up tomorrow. Just says in transit to destination. And arriving today..... Waiting impatiently for it to update. 😥. This is the 3rd time I got eggs from this seller all the others arrived in 2 days with no issues.

Ugh. Just got a text on my package (have it to text me with updates)..... SAME. Text as yesterday..... In Transit to next destination..

This is all it shows...

I got my Ancona eggs (10+1 extra) in the mail today and my ducklings finished up hatching this morning just in time for me to clean and restart the incubator. The breeder did not write anything special on the box, and they were well-packed and in good condition. The air cells are a little bit jiggly and some aren't completely round; I hope that's not going to cause any problems. They don't seem to be fully detached or anything. I only rested them for a few hours while I made sure the incubator was stabilized and then set them like I usually would. I'm really hoping for some healthy ducklings!

I don't hatch ducks but my shipped chicken eggs have had some huge saddled air cells and hatched with no issues. Fingers crossed for you.

If you want to see I have some pics of the really bad saddled air cells from last year. I only had one this year and once the aircell pulled back at lockdown it looked close to normal
Sure! Do you have pictures of before and after the air cell pulled down?
How did your 18 eggs do that arrived on the 24th?

Well.... The Orpington eggs weren't fertilized. The lavenders had just recently started laying again so maybe not enough time for roo to do his job, and the caramel laced went on strike right after. So that brought me down to 13. Of those 2 others were clear. Then 2 blue eggs quit... So 9 went to lockdown. 8 hatched and my last blue egg quit sometime after lockdown.

I got another 9 from same seller and set those Sat and 8 are for sure developing and 1 may be a clear.

The first 2 pics are from my recent hatch. I looked and don't have one at lockdown. The other pics are last year and they looked just like that even at lockdown.

Those look pretty bad, it's hard to imagine the chicks having room to grow in there!
