I have button quail eggs in the incubator, I have been reading online that you have to grind their food so that they can eat it. They will be on a game bird starter. Can someone tell me what is used to grind the food smaller? Is there something specific that I should use or just smash it smaller?

What I use is a thing called, "the Magic Bullet", but a regular blender will do just fine. Just don't blend it to the point where it become's too fine of a powder.
And good luck with those buttonquail!

You can use a pestle and morter, or put it in a paper bag and hit it with a rolling pin, or a food processor, whatever you have to hand really :)

When we got the new food we're feeding now I figured out after a day that it was too big (poor hungry quail!), the 'crumbles' were more mini pellet sized. Anyway, I threw it in the blender in small amounts, about a quarter of the blender jar full at a time, and that kept it as coarse as I wanted to make it but made grinding it up quick work too. I was going to try my food processor but apparently it's not working since our move, and I have used a coffee grinder for similar tasks before too. What ever you have on hand should work as long as you can control how small you make it.
Cheers,
Jessie

Magical food for quail birds that will grow up faster and be economical for me. What ingredients should I use?

Hello, I am looking for a magic food for the rapid growth of quail birds that does not have any side effects and is economically and time-minimum for breeding. Please send me the ingredients of this food.
