I wanted to start breeding and incubate my ducks naturally so that I don’t have to buy any more I have 3 drakes and 12 hens, I have five khaki Campbell’s, five runners and two muscovies my two mature drakes are a KC and a runner and a young cuyga. Could someone please tell me if KC and runners are good mothers because I already know that Muscovy ducks are good mothers. Also I free range in the day can you tell me if ducklings will be attacked by hawks. Thanks a lot

I don't see any issues about hatching those duck eggs, Here in the Philippines, We just leave them be. and they hatch.

If hawks are prevalent in your area, they will definitely steal ducklings! I've lost my fair share of adult Call ducks and ducklings to hawks. Hawks usually wont attack large ducks, most seem to be too big for them. But momma duck can't always be on top of ducklings. I'd at least keep them under some type of aerial coverage until they get bigger, if possible.

Quality is horrible, because I recorded my security camera screen with my phone to upload, but hawks are brazen baztards….
