How to hatch call ducklings? ***Updated questions!****

I ordered mine off of eBay so I don't know the history of their birds. I'm glad that my other eggs are doing great and maybe I'll have a pip tomorrow or maybe tonight! I really hope at least one of my call ducks hatch, but I understand if they don't. I can always try again or maybe I'll even buy some call ducklings if mine don't hatch! Right now I'm just glad that they seem to be growing and the only empty part on the alive ones are the bottom pointy tips. Do you sell your eggs or ducklings???
Yep, both. I have some hatching this week & another batch set for the end of the month. I have 3 orders to get shipped & then can start taking more orders for eggs. Ducklings are a bit more difficult because they are so tiny & you need to ship so many at a time for warmth if shipping right after hatch. If you wait until they are a couple weeks old to ship then you don't need as many at a time.

I have another question. What happens if the power goes out (it flickered once) and the eggs are in the 'bator?

Wrap your bator in blankets & DO NOT OPEN. If it's out for more than a few hours you may want to consider taking it somewhere that has power to plug it in until power comes back on.

just to clairify ... lockdown for calls is about 23 days... correct? thanks
Yep, lockdown on day 23 & hatch is around day 26 for calls.

Does anyone else have an experience with hatching calls? I have a few specific questions:
1. I've heard about cooling the eggs once a day. Is this necessary, not really
2. When is lockdown for the eggs? 3 days before hatch
3. When do ducklings hatch? Is it always on day 28? it fluctuates but I would say around 27
4. After the eggs arrive to me, how long should they "rest" before setting them in the 'bator? 24 hrs
5. What should I do if they have detached air pockets? All of mine had bad aircells I let them sit overnight but it didn't help much
6. Is the temperature the same as hatching chicken eggs? pretty much
7. Any other advice is greatly needed!

Well I just emailed the person I got my eggs from and they said that their call duck eggs usually take 28-35 days to hatch! My eggs still have a chance (they are still living right now I think [most or some of them]).

Ummmm...what the heck are they mixing them with to take that long!!! Only Muscovies take 35 days & they are WAY to big to cross with calls. If they are taking that long for every incubation then they are NOT pure calls. Pure calls take 25-27 days, average 26. If temps run low they can take 1-2 extra days. Not sure WHAT these people sold you.
