my friend's peafowl are laying like crazy and he has had some hatch ( i am not sure how many hatch or how many eggs he incubated) so i decided to ask him! I am picking up my eggs tomorrow and right now my bator is at 99.5. Is it different than chickens? i think they take 28 days to hatch and humidity should be about 60? I also read about letting broody chicken hens sit 0on them for the first week or does it really matter? I have a GQF automatic egg turner will they be okay in there?
thanks and sorry for all the questions, mike

You will get a lot of differ info on this. I incubate my pea egg the same as my Chicken and the last 3 times I have had a 100 % Hatch. I don't use chicken, Just the bator. I have a Sportsman. My Pea here have been hatching on the 25 and 26 day but they say 28 days. So just keep a eye on them.

We do not have good luck hatching them in the incubator- so we use broody hens and have great hatches.

thats what my hen looks like! but i dont know how long she will stay broody. i will give it a try under the hen and if she decides to quit i will have the bator ready.
