Hi all,
Can you guys give me the low down?

Temp: 100
Humidity: 60%
Days? : 16-18?
Stop turning (we have auto turner)
at day 15?

Thanks,
Thinking of giving these a try.

I beleive today is day 17 on my quail with no hatches yet. I am waiting till monday because we had a few power outages. out of 24+ eggs there has to be 1 chick?

I use the same parameters as chickens:
Forced air - 99.5°F
Still air - 101.5°F
45-50% humidity until I stop turning (depends on species), then bump to 65-75%.
Great hatches. More problems due to the PO scrambling eggs than anything else.

Buttons and Coturnix stop at day 14, should hatch 16-17 days.
Bobwhites, chukars, stop at day 20-21, should hatch 23-24 days. With the parameters above, my Bobwhites start pipping the morning of day 23, and usually all hatch at once on day 24.

Good luck!~

Hi,
THanks all for the info, don't know if I'm brave enough yet, haha.
Also is it getting too cold to ship hatching eggs?
With 30-40's at night I wondered how viable they will be at that temp?
THanks,
Angela

You would think so...I only had one live chick out of my button quail, and that was with 20 eggs!
