are there any other symptoms? has the chicken been vaccinated, and how is the rest of your flock? it could be a variety of issues, from a physical injury, to a vitamin deficiency, to botulism, to marek's disease.

im almost sure its a physical injury the rest of the flock is very health no vaccinations but very good blood line.
