How to help a dirty, filthy chicken?

So today we bought two cinnamon queen laying hands from somebody that had bought thousands and are selling them. But their feathers are dirty? They’re soft but they look like they’ve got just crud built up under or around them. Should we just offer a dust bath and that’ll clean them or do we need to do something more in depth if they’re coming from possible poor conditions and overcrowding. I know their backside has some buildup and I know that those feathers can be trimmed down some, but I wasn’t sure what to do if all of their feathers look kind of crusty.

Forgot the photos. Not the best but all I have at the moment.

I broke down and gave them a bath with baby shampoo, rinsed clean, trimmed a few feathers in vent areas. Poor babies had food and/or poop all up in there feathers on their backs. One is worse than the other and missing more feathers. But the “healthier, more feathered one had this yellow stuff around an area of feathers on its back. Is this a disease or lice eggs? Only other think I can think of would be egg yolk?
