Thank you. I guess it's the possible respiratory issue I am concerned about with the rest of the girls. Being that she had the large swelling below her vent I wouldn't think it was Mareks or bird flu or anything like that, I'm just concerned for the other girls.I’m so sorry that she passed. She sounded like she wasn’t doing well, so I am glad she is not suffering anymore.
No, I don’t think you caused any of this. Sometimes the mucus shows up when they pass away. I’m not sure why, but my hen had it, too.
The rest of your flock should be fine, but do check them over for yellow lesions in and around their beaks. Trich or wet fowl pox can cause that. To me it sounded like she had reproductive issues, though.
