My dog and pig were best friends. They cuddled together all the time and did everything together. My micro passed away suddenly on saturday, and my dog hasnt been right since. She lays around depressed and shivering. She doesnt come to the door when we get home. She wont sleep in bed, isnt really touching her food. She used to be a good guard dog & now anyone can walk in my house, even if she doesnt know them and she doesnt even get up. Is there anything I can do to help her be happy again? I had thought about getting her a dog to be friends with, but I dont know if that will cause more hurt than good.. Im worried about her because she has kidney problems and I dont want her depression to make her kidneys worse. I went to the meat market & got her a smoked cow leg, it seemed to pep her up a lil bit, but theres gotta be more that i can do

I would get her another pig if possible.
I thought about another pig, and have had 2 people offer me pigs since she passed, but my fiance says no. He said that micro pigs are notorious for dropping dead young & he cant go through this again. :(.. He took this almost as bad as my dog. I could probably convince him on a dog, but Ive tried on the pig and its not working :(
